Network of members
The UCLG Standing Committee on Gender Equality is made up of local government women's networks from across the world. To ensure representation, each UCLG section nominates three elected leaders from these local networks to represent their region in the Standing Committee. The Committee is led by the Chair, who is elected during the UCLG World Congress every three years.
From 2022-2026, the Chair of the UCLG Standing Committee on Gender Equality is Ms. Fatimetou Abdel Malick, President of Nouakchott Region, President of UCLG Africa, Co-President of UCLG.
